Privacy Policy

Effective 13 September 2026 · Last updated 13 September 2026

This policy explains what Subscription Book (the "App"), published by AtoZ Apps Studio Pvt Ltd, does with your information. It describes the App as it actually behaves.

The short version

Your records are stored on your device. We do not run a server for them and we never receive a copy, so we cannot see what you record. If you choose to turn on backup, a copy is written to a private folder inside your own Google Drive — still not to us. We show no ads, run no analytics, and sell nothing.

1. Who we are

AtoZ Apps Studio Pvt Ltd, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, India, is the data fiduciary responsible for this App. For any privacy question or request, write to support@atozapps.in.

2. What the App holds, and where

Stored on your device:

  • Your business name and, optionally, the owner's name.
  • Your mobile number, collected during setup.
  • Your members — the customers you bill — including any name, phone number, address or note you record for them.
  • Your subscription plans, the terms each member is on, every installment that comes due, and the payments you record against them.
  • Your preferences: language, theme, and whether contact-name matching is on.

We do not transmit any of it to ourselves. There is no account with us and no server of ours involved.

3. Your mobile number

The App asks for your mobile number during setup and stores it on your device. It is used to identify your shop within the App and to name your backup file if you enable backup. It is not sent to us, not used to contact you, not used for marketing, and not shared.

4. Google Drive backup — optional, and off until you turn it on

If you sign in with a Google account, the App keeps a backup so you do not lose your records and so a second device stays in step.

  • The backup goes to the appDataFolder of your Google Drive: a private, per-app folder. We have no access to it; other apps have no access to it.
  • The App requests exactly one permission, drive.appdata. It grants access to that folder and nothing else in your Drive — the App cannot read your documents, photos, or any other file, even in principle.
  • The backup contains the data listed in section 2, including your mobile number, which names the file. It does not contain your device preferences.
  • Once in your Drive, the copy is governed by Google's privacy policy and your agreement with Google. We are not a party to it and receive nothing.
  • Restoring merges rather than replaces, so using two devices does not lose data.
  • You can stop backing up at any time, and delete the backup from your Google account.
Until you sign in, the App makes no network request at all.

5. Contacts — off by default

The App can show the name your phonebook has for a customer, so you can tell who is who. This is off unless you turn it on in Settings and grant the permission your operating system asks for.

When it is on, phone numbers in your records are matched against your contacts entirely on your device. Contact data is never uploaded, never included in a backup, and never shared with us or anyone else. Turning the setting off, or revoking the permission in your device settings, stops it immediately.

Choosing a customer from your phonebook uses your operating system's own contact picker, which gives the App only the single contact you tapped.

6. Sharing, exports and reminders

When you export your data or send a reminder, the App hands the content to another app that you choose — your messaging app, WhatsApp, email, or your device's share sheet. From that point it is governed by that provider's privacy policy. We receive no copy and are not involved.

You are responsible for what you send and to whom, including any consent the law requires before messaging someone.

7. What we do not do

  • We do not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
  • We do not collect device identifiers, location, or usage data.
  • We do not profile you.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data — there is nothing for us to sell.
  • We do not use your data to train machine learning models.

8. How long data is kept

Your data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Deleted records are kept in a recoverable state for a period so you can undo a mistake, and are removed permanently after that. A Drive backup persists in your Google account until you delete it.

9. Security

Your data sits inside the App's private storage, which your operating system isolates from other apps. A Drive backup is protected by your Google account. Please protect your device with a screen lock — anyone who can unlock your phone can open your records. No method of storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The App is for business use by adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Your rights

Because your data is held by you rather than by us, you exercise most rights directly: you can view, correct, or delete any record in the App, export a complete copy, and remove everything by uninstalling and deleting your backup.

Under applicable Indian data protection law you have rights of access, correction, erasure, and grievance redressal. Since we hold no copy of your data, we cannot retrieve, correct, or erase it for you — and equally, we cannot disclose it to anyone, including any third party who asks. For any privacy concern, or to escalate one, contact support@atozapps.in and we will respond within the period the law requires.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be surfaced in the App and the effective date above revised. If a future version introduces accounts, servers, or sharing of any kind, this policy will be updated before that feature ships, and you will be asked before any new data leaves your device.
